On Saturday evening Theo Brekelmans, Chair of the Vets Tournament Committee and Lionel Connor, hosted guests at The Bull at Bisham to celebrate the 45th year of this great tournament, which was started by Lionel Connor in 1979.

As part of the evening, Theo presented the Jim Harris Memorial Trophy to a very worthy recipient, Ken Brown, who has been assisting Theo and the Vets Committee in organising the tournament for many years.

Ken thanked Theo and the Club for the award and said that his first involvement with Maidenhead HC was as a parent, as both his son's had played in the Colts Section and are still playing hockey today, which he was immensely proud of. He also said that he continues with the Club due to the lasting friendships and the desire to give back to a club that had given his boys so much.

Well done Ken and thank you for everything you do for our club.

Jim Harris Memorial Trophy
The Jim Harris Memorial Trophy was presented by Maidenhead Hockey Club Colts in Memory of Jim’s commitment to Colts and Veteran’s Hockey and was first awarded in 1997.
